The free training app that reads your recovery before it writes your workout

Most apps hand you the same session whether you slept nine hours or three. Ours reads your HRV, sleep and recent load first, then builds the workout around what your body can actually absorb today.

Most training apps are a spreadsheet with a nice font. They decide your week in advance and then expect you to hit it whether you slept nine hours or three, whether you are fresh off a rest day or still wrecked from Saturday's session.

That never matched how coaching actually works. When I coach someone in person, the first thirty seconds are diagnostic: how did you sleep, how do the shoulders feel, how much time have we got. The session gets shaped around the answers. So when we built the Living Fit Malta app, we built that conversation into the software — and we made it free.

Readiness is scored against your own baseline, not a population average.

Health data in, training out

Every morning the app pulls together what it knows about your recovery and turns it into a single readiness score:

  • Heart rate variability, compared against your own rolling baseline rather than a population average
  • Sleep duration and quality from the night before
  • Resting heart rate drift
  • Recent training load and the RPE you logged on your last few sessions

That score is not decoration. It is the input to the workout generator. A high-readiness morning unlocks the harder progressions — the ones where you actually earn a skill. A low-readiness morning quietly swaps intensity for volume and technique, protects your joints, and keeps the habit intact instead of breaking you for the rest of the week.

The bit nobody else does: it explains itself

Every session comes with a plain-English reason. "Pull volume reduced — HRV is 12% below your baseline and you logged RPE 9 on Monday." You are never guessing why today looks different from yesterday. Over time you start to recognise your own patterns, which is the actual goal. The app should make you a better judge of your own body, not more dependent on a screen.

Progressions unlock on evidence: clean reps, falling RPE, no readiness crash.

Progressions that move on evidence, not on a calendar

Calisthenics lives or dies on progression. Tuck front lever to advanced tuck. Negative pull-up to full rep. Most apps advance you when a preset number of weeks elapses.

Ours advances you when the data says you have earned it: clean reps at the target range, RPE trending down across repeat exposures, no readiness crash the following day. If those conditions do not hold, you stay on the tier and keep banking quality work. If they do, the next tier appears in tomorrow's session automatically.

Built for real life in Malta

  • Tell it how long you have. Twenty minutes before work, or a full hour — the generator rebuilds the session to fit the budget, not the other way round.
  • Works offline. Rooftop, beach, a gym with no signal: sessions log locally and sync when you are back on data.
  • Body composition tracking. Weight, body fat and circumferences over time, so you can see whether the training is actually doing what you wanted.
  • Installs like an app. Add it to your home screen, get a daily nudge, done.

Why it is free

Because the app is the best possible introduction to how I coach. Some people will use it on their own forever, and that is genuinely a good outcome. Others will realise they want eyes on their technique, a structure they did not have to think about, or someone to answer to on a Tuesday morning — and that is when we talk about one-to-one or small-group sessions.

No card, no trial timer, no locked "premium" tier hiding the useful features.

Add it to your home screen and train with what your body has today.

Start today

Create an account, log a session, and let it learn your baseline over the first week or two. The readiness score gets sharper the more you feed it — and if you wear an Oura ring, you can connect it and skip the manual entry entirely.

Train with what your body has today. That is the whole idea.
